Since it's a single audio file of ten tracks recorded end to end this method completely destroys the timing. My first impulse was to use DSP Quattro, but something has changed in the way it works with selecting audio in the waveform timeline to process insert FX, it now creates a new audio file of only the selected and processed audio instead of processing the audio inline. The files were from tape, ten songs or roughly an hour long, with varying degrees of noise and 60 cycle hum. Recently I had a pretty frustrating experience cleaning up some vocal audio files from a recording with massive 60 cycle hum.
